So I'm not a professional but after the pandemic hit, I've been trimming my long hair by myself. Occasionally I will cut curtain bangs or freshen up the layers. I received these shears and they are such a delight. They are sturdy, medium heavy and extremely sharp. I'd recommend keep them away from amateurs - lol. I missed a step the first time and nicked a finger , it is that sharp. But overall, I'm liking that I have a dedicated pair for my hair and it gives a nice clean cut.

I definitely like these shears. They cut very smoothly, both on wet and dry hair. The finger holes are a bit small though. When my hands are swollen I can't use them. I do like the plastic cushion it has inside the holes, as in makes it easier on your fingers. I would like these to come with a simple slide in case if possible. It would help with better storage.

I remember having a pair of shears from Fromm when I started my career in beauty many years ago. The pair I had then are actually still with me, the material is definitely lighter but I have to say the quality and durability has lasted over 10 years so I cannot complain. For these shears I have to say they feel like a heavier steel so keep that in mind if weight is a deciding factor. I cannot speak to longevity yet but so far they feel and work like a quality shear. Anyone needing a study shear to do the job and/or a beauty school student would do well with these starting out their kit or just wanting something affordable to have on hand. My only critique is I wish the ends were a bit sharper as they are a bit too flat for texturizing hair, at least for my preference. Overall great value and quality.

These shears are far superior than others I have used. They are super sharp and easy to hold. I am a novice when it comes to cutting hair. I use them at home to cut my husband's hair and it makes the job so much easier.
